The Dobie Middle School Orchestra was thrilled to have Jennifer Bourianoff come to work with our students.  Ms. Bourianoff is the Assistant Concertmaster of the Austin Symphony Orchestra.  The students were inspired by Ms. Bourianoff’s performance and instruction as she guided them through the importance of good posture, musical style, and attention to detail in their own performances.  Ms. Bourianoff also sat in with the students while they rehearsed and gave instruction to the students helping them have greater success on the music they are preparing in class.  Ms. Bourianoff, a native of Austin, shared with the students how, through performing, her musical career has taken her around the world and even to two performances by special invitation to the White House.  The students look forward to her return so they can work with her again.
